GOOD MORNING!!!!
A little over 10 years ago, I decided to head down to the KPSU office and look into what it would take to get a radio show. I went to some meetings, learned how to use the gear, sat in on some shows, and submitted my paperwork. Shortly thereafter, I was a radio DJ. My first show was from 11-midnight on Thursday nights. A few weeks later, I was doing 11pm-2am on Thursday nights and continued at that time slot for a few years. The late-night 3 hour shows were an epic beginning to my radio career here and I feel that they gave me an interesting insight into this college radio market. I've long since given up those late night shows in favor of a morning show and now my time at KPSU is expiring. Today, on FABULOUS! Fridays, we will celebrate my 10 years of broadcasting on KPSU and also enjoy the bittersweet swan song of my grand finale, and severing of ties, with KPSU.

[FINAL SHOW ON KPSU!]
While this is the last broadcast of FABULOUS! Fridays on KPSU, the show itself isn't really over. We are changing the name back to its original title and moving to a new home. Starting next week, you can get your weekly dose of the most fabulous psychedelic trance, techno, pop, and event information by tuning into FABULOUS! Radio at: http://www.ustream.tv/channel/fabulous-radio . . . Same Bat Time, New Bat Channel!
As time passes, the FABULOUS! Radio show is going to get more interesting. More live show broadcasts from your favorite events, more shows, different times, video, iTunes podcasting, and other features as well. But I should hold off on getting ahead of myself. The new show doesn't start for another week.
This weekend marks GOA GIL's yearly return to the Oregon landscape. He's old and, if this years celebrity death count means anything, you probably don't have too many more chances to hear this old man trainwreck shitty music for 17 hours while calling it a religious experience. More info on the event is at: http://nw-psy.com
Then October 2nd is HIXXY at Don't Panic 4! The show will be Happy Hardcore Heaven and if that's your scene, then this will be fabulous for you! If you need more info about Hixxy and Don't Panic 4, nwtekno.org will have everything that you need.
On October 16th, The Flashbulb and Kid606 are joining forces with Naha, Fukumup, and many more, as they destroy the night in Seattle at Where the Wild Beats Are! More info can be found here: http://www.nwtekno.org/showthread.php?t=140428 and as a special treat to my faithful listeners, to christen my new show, next week we'll be giving away a pair of tickets to this wonderfulness!
October 24th marks the sequel to last spring's Downtempo Mastiff by those fine folks at ChickenHed. Calming your soul and spooking your spirit, I'll share more info with you about this one soon. But mark your calendars, because you don't want to miss it.
October 31st brings Halloween and 98035476092341 events and house parties. They will all be great. You will have fun regardless. But so far, only one will feature The World's Sexiest DJs . . . The Pussy Magnets. And that's Blood Moon at BCs. More info can be found at: http://nw-psy.com/portal/index.php?topic=1110.0
Damn.
That's a lot of crap for the next few weeks. And I even left out some events, such as the latest installment and chapter in the Chillography series! I think you know how to research this stuff though, so keep your ears to the ground and get your feet dancing!
Thanks to everyone who has came down to the studio over the past decade and shared music and stories with the KPSU audiences. Thanks to everyone who has been part of the magic over the years. Thanks to everyone who has entered our awesome contests or has sent me music. I couldn't have done this show for so long without you. You've given me the drive to alienate myself from others here at KPSU because I always put you first. And I always will. Next week will be fun, and I hope you all join me on the new dial and in our new bubble of all things FABULOUS!
Remember that you can never be the teapot and that the baby dinosaurs are no longer with us.
Always keep those tapes recording and never ever forget . . . don't disturb the sexing.
