Extreme pitch bend control

I often use Kontakt as a synth by loading in a waveform then putting it through the nice selection of filters and FX. The pitch is adjustable over a very wide range but for some reason when you use a MIDI CC to adjust it it only bends over a small range... no good for psytrance leads.
As far as I can work out this is unsolvable... does anyone know of any other VST samplers which allow extreme pitch control via MIDI CC or host controller? |

In Kontakt you can set it up to bend over as great a range as you like, I think.
Check out the modulation options for the Source module of the instrument - you can insert as many pitch-bend modulation sources as you like.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but are you sure you've got your pitch-bend set up in Kontakt so that it's receiving actual pitch-bend messages? It sounds like you could be trying to pitch bend using a regular MIDI control message. These can only send data in the range 0 -> 127; proper pitch-bend messages are in the range -8192 -> 8191, and this might be why you're only getting a small pitch bend.
