I've moved from FL 7 to Cubase and am wondering if it's possible to pitch-bend a note in the Key Editor gradually up a few octaves.
In FL you could use the Slide tool but in Cubase it seems I can only make slight pitch bends in Controller Lane. Would I have to automate the VST's pitch to get the results I'd like? |

i will guess yo talk about one og those 2
fruity native synths - in that case it has all octaves with the slide tool , its somewhat similar to "glide" or "portamento" but offcourse the fruity slides are x100 better , since u can determine each note lentgh of glide diffrently (start and end , and can do hole chords as well), without even use the fixed portamneto option , its more then great even i realy could not make as psychadelic music i do without this tool , like lfo on pitch or pitch band but 100% on key
second option is that u want to use audio sample as your generator , then u need a sampler , fruity's basic channel is sampler thats what makes it number 1 proggram , while in qubase u probably need to use kontact or something , and hope it have the "glide" thing , again , will work much better in fruity as far as i tried. if it is audio u can try pitch band single note after bounce it to new file so not damage the rest of the copies of it
if u talk about VST then colin is right , the slide tool will also not work on vst anywayz actualy , its all in the synth , set it to higher pitch band range
