Of course you can listen to the sound source, you can simply route 1/2 to say 3/4, internally, so you still listen to the sound normally and plug in 3/4 to your soundcard's inputs.

a loss I can't hear with Saffire's exceptional converters. Most cards have really good converters nowdays, even the cheap ones.
Its very immediate, if I am watching a movie and I like something, I quickly open Logic the template I have made for this task, press record, done.
