Uh? Get a grip man...
I promise you, 1000%, that there will be serious and good answers from the 'blue names' when the person posing the question shows that he or she has first done some effort to find out the answer themselves/or isn't asking such a stupid question that it shouldn't even require any such effort.... |

DUDE. I get what you are saying. But This is not the first time. I have seen this happen like 4 times now. And its always the same people getting attack. Im not gonna scream RASIST cuz I think u are people with at least some culture and education.(and I hope thats not it)but how am I gonna ask for help here. if this is happening alot. All im saying this the best place to get help, if u are new in production.and theres alot of new people comming every day.So how do you spect for me (new)or others, to have the courage of asking if u might attakme.. or make fun of my question by sayng something irelevant.??!!! |

my advice for people like this is to spend at least a year reading before asking the questions. if you are new, you need to start with the basics. and the basics have been covered here (and in many other places on the net) many times over and over...and over again.

it's funny cause it's true.
people get annoyed at some newbies for not wanting to put any effort to try to find the answers themselves (especially when it's so easy to do). if you can't take a couple of minutes from your busy schedule to at least try to look for an answer yourself (or using that tool you have in your head to try to figure it out yourself by thinking about it rationally), why should i take the time out of mine to help you?
makus' (makuses?) comment was far more interesting than half the threads on the first page right now. why? because it was clever and it made me laugh. as opposed to that other crap that just makes my head hurt.
the quality of the answer is a lot of times relative to the quality of the question. if you are having a difficulty formulating a question, than maybe it's a sign you need to understand the building blocks of the issue at hand more before trying to ask.

it's just a matter of think before post... no one is screwing him.
Bipolar, ppl don't get paid for helping here, so self-criticism is always welcome to avoid this kind of situation. otherwise, just let it be.
be good

Ur advice to not to ask in a year.???!!!!!!!!! omg. Im glad I dont listen to you. We are not all like you. U might have all the answers in front of ur noise. And its probably so easy for you. but when you start on production u might have the answer in front of ur eyes but sometimes you dont see it. Any ways I will be thinking twise in posting agian....
Theres a really cool forum were you dont have to deal with pricks like this, Its called serious sound. THEY DO HELP THERE AND NOT ANSWER UR QUESTION WITH A DUM A$$ JOKE.
i JUST hope i dont turn into a ego prick like this guys...Peace out.... |

oh, most definitely. and sitting for a while and actually thinking about it is a really good thing. that's how you develop. but if your first instinct is to ask, then all you do is develop a habit of being lazy. so you get tons of people with 20 posts and 30 topics started. the problem is that this affects the forum as the whole. ever hear of signal-to-noise ratio? the forum just ends up full of noise (stupid ass topics) and not a whole lot of signal (interesting stimulating discussions). so people who actually have the knowledge just end up leaving the forum because it's just becomes so mind-numbing. while i was doing my reading for a few years before i actually started posting (and, yes, that's what i did), i found so many discussions that were overwhelming, there was no need to ask questions. i just had to internalize information that was right in front of me. and it wasn't easy at all. i had to come back and read the same shit over and over time and again before things started making sense. i still only now finally "get" some tips that i've had for years from other forums.
anyway, it's just sad to not see discussion of that level here any more. looks like a lot of people got bored with answering these kind of questions and left. and, sadly, they were not replaced with new people with the same kind of knowledge.
so that's where i'm coming from.
the dude said "In the first place i dont know the note names by ABC n stuff." it takes about 7.3 seconds of googling around to answer that question. and then he says "i dont use this kind of samples i like more to create my own stuff twisting any sound." so if you don't use this kind of stuff, what are you asking again?
bipolar, how about this, man: come up with any production related question you can think of and i will only answer with links to other posts which i will find by typing a few words in the Search feature?
