Hello,

I'm looking to buy an external hard drive as I'm very quickly running out of room on my internal one...

Anybody got any recommendations / companies to avoid / things to look out for that are good or bad?

Any help would be great!

Cheers guys           www.myspace.com/beat_nik

I guess Maxtor is the leader in the external category.

I would buy maxtor, and use it via firewire.
But I'm no expert .
Anyways, read some reviews, if u wan't quiet drive I belive seagate is the brand to go for.

edit: If u have firewire 800 that will increase performance alot.

external harddrives to work is not such a good thing, specially inn real time programs... !!! i have one , after 3 month of use , i just now conect it to make backup and saves !!
to work , always with the internal , if the internal is to full , then pass things to the external !!

best option
