I'm starting mastering/production lessons on monday.
And i need to bring the individual tracks of a couple of my tunes so that I can import/compile them in Protools...
Is there any way of exporting all the separate audio/midi tracks as .wav files at the same time (in cubase)?
or do I have to solo-export each track by itself?

well, if you're going to take it to PT there is a way which is much better then exporting each track at a time. use export to OMF from the menu. you'll have to check which version of PT you're going to use to get the OMF settings right, but if you're not sure just leave the default. OMF will not just get the whole session, but will also keep the time and regions in place.

@NikC, don't cheer me yet.
it's not easy thing to do, if you didn't done it before. there are some system requirments to meet and added software to buy. exporting from cubase is probably easy, but on the PT side you'll need v6.4 and higher + DV toolkit. make a test case before trying it for real.
@Surrender, OMF stands for open media framework interchange. some smart dudes decided that there should be a way to move a whole session (audio and video) from one app to another and they came up with OMF. usally you'll use it in post production when you get a video+audio session and work only on the audio.

@ Hayez...
firstly: shit how annoying... I hoped that OMF would solve all my troubles
secondly: what extra software would I need to buy etc to make exporting from Cubase 2.2 to ProTools 6.7?
Also, will the midi tracks be converted into Audio as well? so that i don't have to create new patches for each sound...

NikC, you'll need the DV Toolkit on the PT station. I don't think you need to add anything to Cubase.

midi tracks won't be converted to audio. I don't think that they will even show up in the OMF export.
