Hi there!

I have a .flp file that a friend of mine made a couple of years ago in FL ver 1.7.6. Now I want to make some rearrangings in the track and assign new VSTi:s to it. Since Cubase is the only sequencer that I've spent my time with, I need to get the FL project into Cubase. Basically what I need is the MIDI information. I've tried to get it from FL Studio 5 but have encountered a problem. I can't get FL to export the WHOLE song at the same time, it only exports the current pattern that is open. A strange thing that might have to do with it is that I can't even playback the song, only the current opened up pattern. When I switch on the "song" button instead of "pat", nothing happens when I push the play button. It doesn't play at all - totally silent! I have to switch it back to "pat" before sound comes out but then again, only the current pattern is played. I don't know if this playback problem is somehow interwined with the MIDI export problem. Anyway, I don't actually care about being able to listen to the whole song in FL, because I'm going to do it all in cubase. And to be able to do that, I need the whole songs MIDI information in one single file. What have I been missing here? The solution is probably very basic but I don't know it since I'm a cubasist

Please help me out! Thanks!

To summarize: how do I export a whole songs (NOT only from one pattern) MIDI information in Fruity Loops 5?

yeah, that's what I did.

It could be that I tried to do it in the demo version of FL5. If so, maybe that's a restriction in the demo version. Right now I'm abroad and have no opportunity to look closer. I'll check it up when I get back again and if I still have problems then I'll probably send it to you, orange-atropa. Thanks! =)
