Hello fellow tribe members!
what are the best settings for exporting your mix, either mp3 or wav? Whenever I do it, it never sounds the same as it does in Cubase, and it's pissing me off. Any help would be appreciated.

44khz yes. yeah i do 16bits, but i dont really know what i am doing as far as bitrate. I've read that 16 is sufficient, but theoretically 24 is better obviously. search this forum using keyword bitrate or something, or wait for someone more knowledgable about it to answer.

It depends on the purpose. If you just want a file to pass on to buddies to show what you have created use 16bit. If you want to have it mastered or it is going to be released 24.. But then you have to set the project you are working in to 24 as well when you start the project.

meh, I send project files back and forth with a couple different people frequently, and I bounce/record etc in 24 bit and don't have issues with it getting too large once you delete all the temp files and stuff.
I do a lot of consolidating and freezing/etc in ableton so it creates a lot of extra files..
when I want to pass it on to someone, I save it in a new location, then do a 'collect all and save' then go back and delete the old project file and temporary folders. My last project was like 6-7 gigs before I did it, and 3.5 after. Then once it was compressed with winrar it was only like 2?
IDK, space is cheap.
