I'm having some problems with the automatation in SX2. The first is with the trancegate mix knob in Vanguard. I draw the automatation in SX and it plays well (by the way, it's an instant change from 0 to max and then back to 0 leaving one bar trancegated) but when i export it it does the change i made but out of place (1/16 before, not sure if it's exact). it also, in the middle of nowhere (meaning random) it does a filter change (don't know if it's vanguard or karmaFX filter... but vanguard filter is not automated and karmaFX is something like 20 bars before).
sounds like a setup problem? has this happened to anyone? any ideas?
the other problem is with Synth1. well i load the patch and play a loop (which starts with 2 automatations... 8 bars of cutoff increase and then 8 bars of fm increase and then some bars of no automatation, just playing). when i replays the loop the sound is different... i can't explain it but it sounds either detuned, pitched up or fm changed... something like this, makes it sound gay (i don't know Synth1 really well). i have to load the patch again to make it nice again. wouldn't really be a problem but when i export it it always sounds gay!
thanks in advance
PS: oh i forgot. i have a SoundBlaster PCI64 and i installed Asio4All today. could this have something related? like some delay, setup problem?
i had some automatation problems before but never while exporting. |

no it's not that.
i export the whole song in a fresh start of cubase (run cubase.exe -> load song -> activate all VST in the mixer -> export audio mixdown)
i get the trancegate before the way i drawn it (2/16 of a bar... not exact as i thought before) and when it starts playing the synth1 it sounds different (worst, as i said before).
the random filter problem disapeared this time (with the fresh start) but the other 2 problems are irritating enough |

cause i have a P3 1000mhz that can't handle the number of VST's i use in a track (4-6 inserts per channel and lots of channels).
i use the ASIO Multimedia Driver (the only that works). by the way i uninstalled Asio4All should i install it again?
i can't tell you the SX version because it has just crashed... grr |

problem solved... i discovered that synth1 was changing the waveform for no reason (not the detune\fm change i said before... i'm not experienced with synth1 hehe)... so instead of reloading the patch i changed the waveform in synth1... and it never happened again... why? no idea... lol
the vanguard problem i just deleted the automtation... i want to finish this track, not stuck up with stupid bugs |
