Sorry to self promote, but I thought some of you would be interested to know .....
I recently wrote a book entitled "Reason 3.0 Overdrive!- Expert Tips And Tricks" , published by Thomson Course Technology (who published the Ignite series and Power series books on everything from Ableton to Cubase and Protools).
This book not only has high level tips for all kinds of music production, but it has a heavy sway towards psytrance......please check it out

You can also find it at any guitar center, borders, barnes and noble, sam ash, amazon, etc.
You can do anything with Reason 3.0 except record live audio (instruments, vocals, etc.) and use plug-ins. However, you can plug in recordings into the samplers and modify them, and the built-in effects can challenge any VST plug-in. The tricks in this book provide many ways of doing so, including somewhat unorthodox methods (getting some crazy synths, etc.).
While book can be alot of fun for the average user, it is mostly geared towards the advanced user who takes music production seriously.
All of my tracks have been composed within Reason 3.0, so I know and trust the programs professional manner of performing and rendering the compositions. I get alot of my sounds from samples of hard gear and plug-ins, but there are certain sounds that the Reason 3.0 sound-generating devices call for. Not to mention that Reason 3.0 is one of the most user friendly music software available.

sorry to break into this thread like this  but when i saw ur name i couldn't resist I just bought ur cd man, and it's really great i bought it in a batch with 20 cd's i like, and ur cd and moon unit are the ones i like most!! really killer stuff!!! I'll be looking out for more from u impatiently
oh yeah, congratulations with the book don't use reason myself though... |

Fregle- thanx very much, that means alot to me, I love "moon unit" as well, nice to hear both CDs were favs of yours!
wavelogix- the book sells for like 26 bucks, something like that

Bodhi 13:20, I've looked at amazon, and there's a "4 star comment" from one guy nicknamed "GtrTim".
I am trying to see if this guy's actually read the book, by my question, please see it
If the guy's just spreading bad P.R. for possible "Reason 3 Power" buyers, I'll bury him ;-)

Pimpa, potential "Reason 3 Overdrive" buyers are usually as well "Reason 3 Power" buyers.
i meant the bad p.r. about "overdrive", so they don't consider "overdrive" as an option.
Is my language so ambiguous?
