Hey, I've been producing music for about 6 years now, but I've only recently decided to start making psytrance. I've found psytrance to be really inspirational and it takes me on a journey. I'd like to be able to do that for someone else, as a sort of "pay it forward" to contribute back into a genre of music that I love.
I'm currently experimenting with ideas, and this is just a really sort clip, but I've put so much effort into it already that I'd like to get some feedback on the sounds.

I built all the patches with u-he ACE myself, this includes the kicks and hats. There are some additional FX on some of them but mostly just basic compression to keep resonance in control and filtered/modulated delay units.

I'm thinking about utilizing Alchemy for some granular resysntheized effects that I can't pull off in ACE. I'm going to use my own vocal recordings as raw material to manipulate, possibly also recordings from my hardware synths (mopho/virus/blofeld) or from ACE. |

FYI this is not just some shameless self promotion, I'd like to find a good community to contribute to and help improve my productions through feedback. I'm not here to just show off my tracks and then disappear. I've been a regular on KVR for a few years, but they generally don't appreciate psytrance and aren't very helpful with it, so I though I'd find a forum with a more psy focus. |

Thanks man. I thought it did have this old school sound, wasn't really intentional, but maybe its because there's no samples?
I thought maybe the kick was too snappy almost, maybe I should put a 6db lowpass on it to remove some of the highs..
Btw, the kick is from filter resonance combined with a sine wave. |

Sounds are weird, but I think mix and master are not good, the kick is kindda anoying and totally lacks in percussion, anyway its nice as an experimental track. cheers!!

Yeah when I checked it on a different set of speakers the kick had a peak in it that was a bit obnoxious, I need to fix that. Thanks for reminding me. |
