kick is a bit squashed indeed. also when the mix becomes tighter it looses its attack. to avoid this, you need to find the kicks snappy frequency (more often than not it is located around 1.5-3 kHz) and notch all other sounds in that area a bit.

thank you so much for listening and the detailed feedback. Yes i used a transient shaper on the snare; i intended the snare to be a bit clicky/snappy ,but i could have easily overdone it  ...thanks again! |
