I also saw today at the fullmoon fest in Germany for 7 days this year, the pre-sale of the tickets is from 40 to 52 euros.
At the entrance 60...7 Days!!!!! |

all the others are klain main dj's
i don't know no one,maybe they are playing for free thats why have low price ticket,
and the place is maroco

If you want i can also organise an event with 50 of my friends djing and have an entrance fee of 20 euros.
Come on guys get serious.
This line up is tottally unknown and i doubt if all these people get money to play there.
Oh and please dont compare big festivals prices with ordinary events

klain mine because they are not names???????????????? i remember another discussion we had about local or not djs.It doesn't mean that u don't know them that they cannot play well...u never know,,,Mny times we heard names and they played awful.. |

That names are ‘oti nanai’ ? I don’t think so… But ticket price was 45 eyro at the entrance (no presale, presale was cheaper).
But as detox said... dont compare big fest prices with local events , compare them with other fest prices in Greece (let's say kaiafas that was 60 eyro )

Good now we have a better example by Astraldor.
So its about time to set some things clear.
Festivals vary around the world for many reasons.A festival in Germany will have more attendance than one in Greece for example simply because the trance scene there is much bigger.Also artists charge far less to play in Germany than they charge for playing in Greece,just like they charge much more to play in Japan than playing in Greece.Hope you get my points here
And to give you an example over Astraldors example about Full Moon Festival i will give you details of Vision Quest 2004 in Japan

ok Detox i agree with u in some points but also in Greece the Samothraki fest had great attendance.
And i also would feel very like if i was to see all these artists will 100 euro.Even more i wouldn't care.. |

A typical event with two lives here in Greece costs around 30 euro! (Even in Uk nowadays most parties cost more than 15 british pounds. )
A festival in greece costs around 100 euro (samothraki) or 60 kaifas.. In samothraki were 10 times more groups available than a typical indoor party, and only costed three times more. Kaifas only costed two times more..
So why the price is so high in small parties?
Well i believe that, the actual reason for that is because always there is a high a risk for party failure.If something goes wrong, cops come, not many people come, artist dissapears!! power failures, etc then the party organizers lose serious amount of money. The risk of a massive failure is considered 10 times higher in a small typical party than large scale party. Especially in greece it used to be relative easy to throw a party with a couple of groups and watch your party fail because of small people attendance, or COPS and ofcourse disorganization....
So organizers increase greatly the ticket price to insure that after the party will take at least their money back. Some others more greedy want to gain money even the party fails comletely.. Meaning that gathering 200-500 people on 2000 space , charging by 30 euro each considered failure..
This approach is not client-friendly but still provides clients with something to party..
To conclude..
Indoor parties are very expensive , and will become more expensive as time passes.
However what really matters in a party is not just the cost of it, but the analogy between cost and quality of services.. And here is were the problem is hidden. Unfortunately in Greece quality is not considered as a factor in psy-parties. Just pay artists , find some big speakers and some cheapy lightsystem , and throw that party with 30 euro entrance..
That attitude exists from the birth of first trance-rave clubs (In Greece) and will continue till the end.
ps:a few exceptions ofcourse existed over this 15 years period..
ps: Greece is not the only country with such problem : Mexico, Brazil , Japan and even UK (last 2 years) are few other examples..
