So we all just got back from EXODUS.... (off to Rainbow Serpent today).....overall a realy nice party..... The people were great and really really friendly, the location was quite beautiful with a good dam for swimmimg....but once again... musically I found it 'Lacking' what I need.!!! It was great to hear GMS after about 5 days of relativley non-Psychedelic Dance music.... but even 5 hours of those guys can be a bit toooo much..... I was laying 'incapacitated' in my van during 'OZZY' and 'Luke Psywalker' (Sorry guys).. but it was stomping hard sets I could hear.......and I remember thinking....."ahhh...finally"
....Once again Nik Taylor ended things (for me quite literally)... but the floor was still full...so many people were quite happy with that....
...Now its off down to the 'BIG ONE' ... my friends here tell me that its gonna rock...... excellent.......my last dance in Oz
Hope to meet some of you there...
BOOM

Even though exodus was a 7 day festival I only went for the last night.
It all began with Ozzy at 11:30, standard Ozzy, nice & cranking to get the crowd in the mood for what was about to happen. Then Luke Psywalker, he is IMO the best Aussie DJ going around at the moment, his mixing is top notch and track selections are always amongst my favs. Then Lorin Ashton (no idea, yeah me either) came on, a disgrace that I'd prefer to not talk about. Killed the vibe that had been built up by the 2 guys before him. Then GMS, Live for 2 hours, really bloody good, lots of remixes and they had the crowd absolutely pumping. Then a 2.5 hour DJ set, even better. Lots of classic tracks like The Rush, a bit of Astrix, Alien Project and they finished with their remix of the Finger. When they beat mixed it was bloody good but for some reason a lot of the tracks were played right through to the end and right from the beginning - a bit strange i though but nevertheless 4.5 hours of cranking psy in which i was unable to leave the floor.
The site was magnificent, one of the best I've seen, the people were great, smiles all around. All in all, for the time I was there, a sensational experience and nice to finally have both Bansi and Riktam in Oz.
