nice gear
but it actualy doesn't sound better than digital it just looks cool.

2 different words, i love digital for digital sounds but when it try to sound analog you better get the real thing !
some va synths can really sound analog but it s just on some patchs...while a analog synth sound analog whatever knob you turn, very big difference.(there is always some settings that remind you it s digital when using a va)

I don't understand why you are so aggresively defending the analog gear and saying that digital is not as good.

So maybe it has a really cool sound and it's sounds different than digital. So what? It all comes down to usability, and if you can't properly and easily use that sound in a track then it's not practical.
I'm sure that none of you use 100% analog synths in all of the 100 channels in your tracks.

Digital ain't bad actually. I own a Yamaha CS1x which is famous for sounding like crap, with the stepped filters and generally bad sound. But you know what - it's actually good. Those shit filters are so crappy they actually sound different from the rest and quite interesting. My point is, every synth has its own sound, whether it is digital or analog, and there is no better. Only different. I'm sure that if I give you a track that you never heard you would have no idea if it was made on analog gear or digital, or both.

Patching cables and no memory is very impractical, but at least it wasn't random tweaking, people actually thought patches through a lot better before connecting audio and CV cables to the next module, instead of downloading the latest dArK_PsY_cRaZy_FM patch for albino...

That's a real disadvantage. What if you want to make one note different to a recorded riff, you did back 2 months ago? You can't.
Downloaded patches are not the synth's fault. It's the user. Someone created those patches, no?

That is one of the reasons I said "impractical", i.e. NOT practical.

Yea, well the point was the second line. Not the first. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

soon for windows,i m thinking to buy it and hope it will stop me from buying a sem or selling a arm for a cwejman

can t wait to try this synth with my monitors, on my laptop speaker i can t say much about the sound but its very promising.

we were taliking about analog but i m really happy with itb these day ,a friend showed to me harisson mixbuss, using the comp eq and sat few mintues on a track,it seems you can really get a nice vibe close to a good coloring desk, might still sound itb but it really color in a way i like (was just short test s i m not really sure but it remind me the sound of a friend desk but with less depth,it s still a plug but for the price... ). and now this...i hope it s sounding great ehe

I also have two racks of Doepfer A-100 system. And Im not a huge analogue gear fan (its huge, heavy, expensive and sometimes very limiting) BUT there is a BIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIG difference in sound. Im not saying is better but there is.
You can make wonders with just a few doepfer modules, you can make sounds you can NEVER make on any digital synth. And its not about how it is made its about the difference in sound. I cannot explain it you should just try it. And again Im no analogue fan. For trance music I prefer softsynths because they are much more versatile and you can save sounds and its muuuuch easier to mix and layer the sounds, to control it and so on...
But for experimental music without limits nothing beats looong sessions with my dear modular synth. I used to own Nord modular g2 but Ive sold it cus it lacks the SOUND I want to have if Im working with modular. It was great in terms of softsynths but I have other less complicated synths for that.

And yeah I would trade my leg and my kidney and a half of my lungs to get buchla system.

Disco Hooligans nice pic Mmmm I see you have morph filter inside. Is it good? Im planing to buy it for years and I feel this day is coming closer
Would you recommend it? Im a big fan of a triple resonant filter but Im getting tired of its sound. So I feel I need something new

Its really nice, and distorts like a mofo!
The WASP filter is my favourite for scream type leads.
By the way, as much I love Doepfer and Analogue Systems, they really are budget modular synths. during my hardcore analog modular days, I had a play with a small Moog modular and Roland System 700, EMS VCS3 (wildly out of tune!) at other people's studios and them synths piss over the Doepfer modules...they cost an arm and a leg though.
