If I want to open a track made in cubase on ANOTHER computer what files do I need then.
I tried to copy the whole folder from the track but it's not enough I suppose because it gives some errors. Maybe it has to do with the vst's that are in different folders or something.
I have all the used audio-files, all the used plugins but it still doesn't want to open.
Is there maybe some kind of export-file that does this function?
thanks!

We have both cubase sx 2.01
The errors:
'A serious problem has occured: Please try to save your song under another name and then restart Cubasesx.exe. If this problem persists please contact Steinberg Technical Support with a discription of what you do to create this problem, and the created file C:\Program Files\Steinberg\Cubase SX\Cubasesx.LOG.'
then I shut down cubase and the this error appears:
'Waves Q4-paragraphic EQ: The plugin didn't release all of its created Objects.
System may fail.'
Maybe we don't have the same version of the Waves plugin?
But still then it has to open the file I think?

Thanks for the fast replies!
If there are audiofiles missing normally cubase opens the song and shows a window with the missing audiofiles...
but we have idd different soundcards so that could be the problem...
Thanks!

Maybe different versions of some of the plugins are installed? I am guessing but this might cause problems.
It is almost certainly something to do with the plugins used. Try removing them all (e.g. by renaming the plugins folder : you want to be able to quickly replace them..... . Open the file and hopefully it wont crash, though you'll get a list of missing plugins. Then slowly add the needed plugins back in until it fails to load the file. Then you have found the culprit. |
