i like both.... i have very limited knowledge to mastering so cannot comment on this bro!!

good luck though!

as said before mastering VA does not say every track will get its perfect master , rather they all get 90% of best possible to make sure all fit to each other.

so the label can be sure its ok if the whole cd is the same

your knowledge doesnt matter at all , its the ears that counts , if you hear any difference at all then you can comment on that. beside the fact of the ameture being abit louder therefor immediately have some kind of head start , but aint too squashed so rms if just plus imo when your sounds are still free not over compressed

the dacru version has rounder and more under control bass, both versions are too squashed for my taste, but it is caused by the mix i think, not master.

nice remix           http://soundcloud.com/user8501508/sets

How much does it cost to master one track approx? and in which format should the track be sent? Stems as wavs or project files etc?

That is true, unless your sound card supports 32 bit and the mastering engineer accepts 32 bit too!           Upavas - Here And Now (Sangoma Rec.) new EP out Oct.29th, get it here:

hmmm i could be wrong, but if sound card supports 24bit, it also "supports" 32bit floating point. another thing that you can still render (but not play) a 24bit file on the card doesnt support this format. Just software need to handle 24/32bit.           http://www.beatport.com/release/cross-the-atoms/1042450
