Hi all Had a lot of fun making this track, the concept was to start off with a more funky/relaxed/progressive inspired bassline and morph it over time into something...else. I guess it ends up being like full-on in the end.
Put a lot of focus on making the lead lines not run so damned long, and to have heaping portions of background noise and fun behind-the-scenes weirdness.
Impressions, technical or otherwise greatly appreciated
Some weird farty sounds in the intro, that's tripping my balls off. You do some cool things with cutting the delays out. The groove is nice, however something about the overall sound quality of the track is lacking, not sure how to put it... Though with a good master and playing this out on the dancefloor, I think it will bang and ppl will dig.

thanks for the feedback yeah my sound is still pretty novice and needs a lot of work (plus this one is dirty 'mastered' with some presets just to bump the volume a bit, probably contributes to the lack of quality) , and each track is like clawing through viscous molasses but its progress none-the-less - I like the progression of the bass in this track but the groove still needs to be locked in a little more solid...
I use Ableton Live for my stuff, because its effing great. Most of the weird FX are created using Ableton's Operator synth, though I also make heavy use of Stylus RMX and Omnisphere.
