Right click on any button, click on 'Link to controller..' then use on of the controllers. Now it should connected. But before you have to set up in midi settings your controller, thats all.

Start fruity, goto 'options' > 'midi' > 'set remote controll' (right side of the window), select your controller (it should appear in the list box, if you installed it correctly and it is on), set 'auto accept controller' on.
Next goto any button (for example the 'channel volume' of the standart kick), right click on it.
Select 'Link to controller...' and the small window 'Remote controll settings' appears. Check that 'Auto detect' is activated, and move one of your hardware controller knobs. The window should close by itself and the knob should be connected to the volume button.
If that does not happen, look which controll number the knob you want to use uses and go again to the 'Remote controll settings' dialog, and set the 'controller' setting to this number.
If that all does not help, check if you installed the drivers correctly.
I hope i helped you, check it out
