Is this actually beat mixed or simply tracks fading outro - intro? |

I believe it's mostly fading, not having given it a thorough listen in the headphones yet.
Glad I grabbed this. Both discs are solid, IMO. Excellent comp for the price. Totally agree with Chloro. This does have an overall dreamy dubby Orb-like feel.

^ thanks for the reminder, I haven't bought it yet, but will. As you say, it's value for money and great tunes to boot!
If you buy digital you get un-mixed tracks plus a great big long mixed version as well.

if you like the dubbier side of of ambient, then i`d recommend this as a really good buy. lots of big names from the past who are still producing the goods. varies from the more electronic psybient side (Tripswitch, Bird of Prey) to more traditional dubby sounds (Mad Professor). It`s definitely more on the electronic side though and the mixed version transitions very smoothly from one track to the next (to my ears) to create a very laid-back and enjoyable journey. will be good for long summer days and bbq`s
Only negative for me is that the tracks from Pitch Black, Lulu Rouge, Trentemoller and Shpongle have been around for a while and have been overplayed. Would have been nice to have some new tracks by those artists as that part of the mix doesn`t sound as fresh as the rest. Getting the digital version with the unmixed tracks is a good option.
Disk one is the best of the two. Stand-out tracks by Variant Field, Tripswitch, Bird Of Prey, Krusseldorf and Vlastur. Those guys are really on top of their game at the moment

Thanks for the info. I've ordered a copy of the CD version, I don't had a lot of dubby stuff & the sample on Iboga's YouTube was tasty. Am sure it'll be nice for long car drives & headphone trips
