Ever seen MilkDrop visuals at a party?

I don't think I ever have and I can't understand why. I think the visuals it puts out are better than anything I've seen at a party before, some of them are truly incredible pieces of psychedelic eye-candy.
Is there no way to allow the software to detect the beat from an auxiliary signal and react to the tracks as they're mixed in real time.
PS. If you haven't already, get the Milkdrop V2 patch pack. 
Thoughts? Anyone else think its as amazing as I do? (and I'm not even stoned atm...I've just always taken it for granted and never actually spent time watching the visuals evolve)

Some milkdrop presets are good but a lot of them suck and the plugin isn't very good at synching the macro-movements to the beat.

I've seen it at a few events. If you download and sift through many presets you can create a great custom package of sound-responsive visuals that are completely automated... to be perfectly honest I often prefer Milkdrop over the usual sort of clip-based VJing I see at a lot of parties. Sound responsivity is KEY. Set it up properly and it flows like a dream.

Milkdrop is better than any VJ I ever saw.
100% guarantee it will blow the crowd to the moon.
I used it at one of my own small parties, it was not synchronized (which sucks), but I still got more good feedback about it than about the ultra killarghhh unreleased radioactive bombs I was spinning. Topic locked!

HD Milkdrop is very nice, havnt seen it at a party but mad visuals for sure, I like the really organic optics.
