Please don't spend that much money on Studio Monitors and only get 6" woofers. Unless you have a high quality subwoofer already, that's just crazy talk.

6" woofers are just not physically large enough to generate the bass waves neccessary to properly mix/master psytrance.

If you're going to make such an important investment, make it worthwhile and get the 8" versions of either one. Both are fine choices.

i have a pair of Event TR6 and i make incredible bass with them. and when i take my tunes out they sound even better.

its true, the bigger the better... but also more $$$, and if its too big, then it wont sound good on smaller system... your decision... but

the TR6 get two thumbs up from me!!! and they look so... solid... nice... like an alien...

pure noise my advice for you is go for Mackie 624HR or Yamaha MSP10 those monitor gives you flat sound

I use yamaha msp and its the best monitor ive ever listen to!!!

and i thing evry professional will agree with me
look at the freqeuncy response

Yamaha MSP10 (and of page)

http://www.yamahaproaudio.com/products/speakers/msp10_studio/index.html

Mackie HR824 (and of page)

http://www.mackie.com/products/hr824/index.html

Event Precision 8 Active

http://www.event1.com/Products/studio_precision/studio_precision_FRASP8.html

and back to your qustion whice monitor is more Professional?

I go for mackie monitor's

but i think if you are looking for a professional monitor go for yamaha MSP10

the monitor freq start at 40Hz
and anded in 40kHz!!!!!

40khz its a very high freq and no monitor can give you that freq even adam, genalec or dynaudio

this freqs used in lab's

you dont need this freqs but its shows you the monitor preformance

good luck

a 6" monitor is great and even Excellent for small rooms.
however 8" is built for bigger rooms (till 50 meters long).

if the monitor size is bigger it can go lower in the frequencies but the mid freqs become less accurate.
and if the monitor is smaller, the mid mostly sound really good but it cant reach much low frequency.
*actually its not only the woofer size, but the box size of the monitor.

thats why you HAVE TO buy monitor that will FIT to your room.
