Hey guys,

I am a web-designer, however I have been trying to learn music production since quite some years now, But i;ve never been consistent at it, as much of my time is taken up by my main occupation (web-design).

Now since its recession, i do not have much work, hence i hope to learn music production in a full-fledged manner.

I would appreciate if you guys could give me feedback's/criticism after listening to this incomplete track that i am currently working on.

Thanks in advance !!

I can't really hear the tone of the bass. Maybe move it up an octave. Some cool FX though you have there.

Hi kubdalini!

i listened to your track.
studiomonitors are essential, even if they are not expensive.

you use a sidechaincompressor on your bass?
maybe try another vst for bass and read this: http://forum.isratrance.com/bassline-tutorial/

try to get the basic percussion combo:
-closed HH 16 times per 4 kicks (1bar) (and try panning them)
-open HH at every off beat (K - HH - K - HH - ...)
-Snare/clap at every 2nd kick

a very common effect in psy is, uprising pad/note with MUCH reverb in it, shut down the volume abrupt when the new lead/bar kicks in... gives a really good feeling.

you also can nearly reverse everything...

very important is also EQ`ing!
at first i just would use the low/high pass option and a little bit shaping. dont mess around to much with Eq´s.
you can download a good mixing video for free "AndiVax mixing secrets"

dont stop reading this forum, also essential.

listen to your favourite artist with MUCH ATTENTION.

cheers & good luck
