august 2007 already seems solid... Ozora then Freedom Festival then Burning Man... not bad for an off-year of the BOOM

any tips on good festivals BEFORE ozora???

we start in Germany in May or June and tour all summer. i'd like to be mainly in Italy, Spain, Portugal.

many are talking about this Transylvania Calling in Romania, but i think it's a long expensive journey to a smaller and less heavily tranced country. not sure if it will be worth it....

i agree that dark twisted music is best during nighttime, and funky doofy progressive in the daytime.

let's bring out some of the SF psy contingent: Penta, Ghreg on Earth, Ocelot, Amanda, Parus, Fractal Cowboys, Chromatone, Egnogra, etc... there are no festivals like this in the states, so we travel and make a new way.

Regarding Italy I strongly recommend Sonica Festival.
There is a good activity of smaller open air parties before and after the festival.

I can also suggest you not to miss at least 1 mountain party in Switzerland.
There are plenty, you only have to check Goabase.

Slovenia can be very good to if you want to stay closer to the sea and more affordable prices.

If you are in the UK in early July, look out for ANTIWORLD festival, a 3 day outdoor festival put up by one of the most reputable orgs in Europe.

I would really sugest VooV-Experience, 3-6 August. There's dark-twisted music during the night, and a loooot of progressive during the day. Sonica is full-on till noon I think, and then some prog.
Check out http://www.voov-experience.com/ . They never release the line-up in advance, but you can check previous line-ups, to get an idea.

You forgot our Forgotten Ritual festival in Switzerland from 24-27 August 2007. We will have a (dark)psy floor and a chill floor, both with an exquisite line-up
