Thanks to everyone who came to the brooklyn loft.... that was a super scene...
At one point I thought the wood floor was going to break...

Thanks Mauricio from Etnica, we heard you play in a more personal atmosphere, saw your true personality and you are a great guy.

Mauricio and Knobe were having a good time playing together too! and thanks to the other local djs, including Uri - Electrofunk,
To the people of the house, and everyone's positive energy for not letting the police ruin anything

wow, nice one... I would say that there were about 80 - 100 people there.
went till 10:30pm

big boom to everyone. That was a party
if someone has pics please post a link!

Hi everyone-

My name is Amos; I rode up 12 hrs. from North Carolina to help Shane with the deco for the Etnica party...
It was an unforgettable experience working to decorate that space; putting so much energy into what was going to be a truly incredible night, only to have the party slam to a halt just as it was warming up. Ripping all of that string art out of the wall (too soon!) was an emotional experience.

However, thanks to everyone who teamed up to put on the party in the loft, it turned out to be an amazing night anyway. Such a beautiful spirit, such beautiful people (happy Valentine's day!); I could go on with a full write-up, but that will have to wait. Let me just thank a few people while I still remember...

Thanks Mauricio and Knobe for keeping us in orbit until full daylight;
Thanks to the five ppl I never met, whose loft I enjoyed- you guys are heroes.
Thanks to Susannah for finding my UV spiky bracelet, and for being so cool when I snatched it back off your wrist. It suited you, too.
Thanks Teddy for helping with the string art - the best of it wasn't wasted, it lives at Chay's house now.
Chay and his wonderful wife Jen, by the way, are the best hosts I have ever encountered, and treated Shane and I so well while we were in town that I will forever be in their debt.

Enough typing for now. I had a great time, it was a very special party, and I have special memories of all of you whom I met in NYC this wekend.

Good wishes from Asheville -

Amos

Yes... the place the cops pushed us out of looked spectacular... great job with the deco, was a pity that we couldnt enjoy it all night, but I'm glad that you ended up with an over-all super positive time.

In terms of super positive,
once we were at the loft. The $100 I payed to the sound-system rental guy so that they didnt take it down at 7am and let us use it till 10:30 am, is the best $100 I have ever ever spent.
(I mean who in their right mind is going to let them take the system away for some wedding when Etnica is playing on it?)

I just re-read the two posts I wrote above and realized that I forgot to give a huge thankyou to
the Alladin Project, who made it possible to move the party from the venue to the loft.

Thanks guys Yalla yalla! toda.
