Hello dear forum followers, I am pleased to announce the release of the long waited Etnica retro compilation.
Etnica need no introduction: they have been storming the dance floors all over the world for two decades now. Innovators since the very beginning, they inspired many producers and are considered to be leaders and among the best artists ever in the Goa Trance realm.
The release of this live set is something that was very much needed, to signal to the world how epic a live performance can be. On that night of the 12th of October 1996, magic was created, a wonderful set was recorded, and it is now ready to be broadcast to the world. As a bonus track for the first disc, we have the magnificent Time Dilation, in a beautiful Morning Mix courtesy of Etnica, that will surely deliver a smile on your face for its eternal beauty.
The second CD features a selection by Draeke of Etnica’s best unreleased productions, spanning 1995 to 1998, their golden years. Prepared to be teleported into another era, where analogue synths were kings and where the group used samples wisely to weave stories into fantastic multi-layered tracks.
All in all this album is a must-have, a historical document from an era where digital production was still unknown and where the music was created in its purest form. The tracks have undergone significant re-mastering and restoration, as the DAT tapes where the music was kept were not in the best condition, so they are now available in the best possible sound.
So sit back and enjoy Etnica’s timeless melodies. All the classics of the band are included in this release - you have no excuse to not like this opus. Have a safe ride!

Pre-Orders have now be enabled, have a try on DAT Records website: http://www.datrecords.it (Just click on the shopping bag on the left and a popup window will appear, where you can put your data, 100% secure and tested since 3 years now).
Payment can be made through paypal or bank transfer.
I reduced paypal taxes to 2,5% which means I am splitting the cost with you.
As for now I cannot offer any discount for buying multiple copies.
To make it up to you though, I am offering the download of a free track BEFORE the actual release date.
Once the payment is completed the system should give you a code to download it .
Since this is a new feature, please let me know if it works, I sincerely hope so, otherwise I will setup a link on sendspace/rapidshare and send it to everyone who preorders it!

No problems, I have loved your label's work.
My only disappointment was missing Mind Rewind but hope a no.2 might come about one day
Not only do I love these rare sounds coming about, but I like to have the hard copies so my kids can grow up knowing the music their Dad has loved as well.
I played the Tetrahedron album just this morning while my 6 month old son was having play time, and he started giggling and smiling when I put him closer to the music
Keep up the excellent work, i will always be a purchaser of your label Cuntus Maximus.

ordered allready! so the oldschool feelings will come to my home!
btw. hope this one sounds better as the other releases, because all the masterings sounds really aggressive to my ears and i think the old sound was more peacefull like today!
but for sure - full support for your label project's

Hello AdidScout I made sure the mastering would be absolutely not aggressive, not overcompressed and with a loudness of max 5-6 dbs therefore mastering it more or less as if we were in the 90s but with more refined techniques. I hope you'll be all happy of it!

I've found, unlike much of the neo goa like Suntrip, DAT's mastering really seems to have good focus on the style of Goa/Psy.
I mean for example Crop Circles is very heavy music. It's not exactly a melodic morning style, it's aggressive & vey heavily acid driven. Therefore a more aggressive style of mastering suits it. BPC was mastered perfectly, IMO it carries the real sound of back then back when I compare to my CDs from then it's like the details have been clarified with no loss of the original emotional input. Crossing Mind? I'm sorry but having got the entire Suntrip catalogue recently before this arrived I'm yet to have found time to listen to it, so cannot comment.
Sadly my MacBook hard disk crashed last weekend & today only is it ready to be picked up, so I've yet to download the Etnica live files Draeke sent so cannot comment either & the youtube I've heard IMO doesn't seem to cut it.
Hoping that maybe Pleiadians live might be next, with a disc 2. I've got some cash stashed if DAT records needs donations to make it happen Cuntus Maximus.
