Etnica - Chrome (Western Edition)
1. Nervous (rmx)
2. Detonator
3. Dervish (wasted rmx)
4. Liquid forms
5. Are we safe?
6. Like a diamond
7. Solaris
8. Tracktor activity

well, as i promised here's the review:
1. what an awesome track to start off with, nice percussions and dinosaur-like bird samples. one of my favs.
2. More full on track, another fav of mine. just what it name says (detonator) its about to set off something ...
3. another nice track, with some cool sound fx like switches blowing.
4. Expected better after the awesome intro but give it a few listens and you'll like this one
5. okay track with nice percussions and trumpet sampling.
6. nothing much to say bout this track, but i like it.
7. well from here on its not bad at all, nice tracks to play at parties just before the full-on madness. no variation from beginning to end, but still good tracks.
Overall me give this album a personal rating of 7/10. Album stays within Etnica style. Most tracks has minimal variation from start to end and sounds bit techno.

Chrome review by Young:
1) Etnica’s version of the well-known classik, Nervous, presents familiar elements as well as utterly Etnica’n innovations. Commencing with a powerful breakbeat, this track boasts massive cubicles of kick, schizo-nervous percussions, a hypno-continuum of bass, and of course the state-of-the-art sound quality that is characteristic of the Italian duo. Very unique sounds and synth composition make this another dancefloor reliability.

2) Detonator simmers and trickles down into nocturnal madness with a tasty, refined stomper. A very dynamic bassline flows along smoothly as percussive ticklers and sprinkles of gas marry darkened arrays of synth. Vast atmospherics and details galore…

3) VCO leaps ahead in eerie potency riding on an all-encompassing bass locomotion. A sculpted heavyweight kickdrum paves the way for submarine atmospherix and bouncy crystal percussions to increase the rhythmic momentum. Along the lines of Small Dosis, this one’s a battlefield track with bassline acrobacies and a menacing synth ritornello.

4) Originally a Dino track, Dervish has been sonically reassembled and manipulated to result in this massive, full-on track. A hidden, ol’skool kick leads the way into klunk’d, metallic noises and synth composition. Interstellar chants and vocal samples increase the inertia of this fierce audio organism.

5) Liquid Forms is a fast-paced chase along the matrices of rhythm that finally trance us to the f full-on cubicle of Chrome. It has a slight CASABLANCA (SA2000@Etnicanet) feel to it . Synth spikes lurke in from extrauricular zones to puncture a dynamik bassline. Tight, low-octave melodies combined with digitally dried-up percussions liquefy to the calls of an entity dwelling in a fluid lair, as this monster of a track flows with very distinct inertia.

6) At this point, Aki asks, Are We Safe? Sonic sprinkles blend&copulate with razorsharp icicles of synth that caramelise their way in above an uproaring, mean-ass bassline. The battlezone tweakage is full-on the way we love it most, the soundscapes are a mothership's sonic boom, and Aki's emanation shifts us into a technisensor journey to "the same strange dream, the same strange planet...". A delicious audioplanetary invasion!

7) With a featherweight kick and polygonal synth dynamix, squared percussions and bouncy hihat friction, Like a Diamond boasts simple but refined melo-spooks to paint up a futuristic soundscape of dancing journeys. This one’s a very detailed buildup tune both pleasant to the dancer and the dj for long mixes.

8) Solaris kicks off with its synthetic plexi-kick and galloping bassline. Eerie tapestries of sound create space that is rhythmically stretched by hypnotone percussions and distorted spikes filtered noyz. High-quality teknose track for night-time darkness.

9)

Tracktor Activity ripples out psibernetic inertia with its ferocious hats&cymbals: mechano-cubicles of processed sound are klunked into position inbetween the beatz, while the elasto-bassline is pinched up occasionally by its catalysts that shake the floor up&down. Percussions a' la Small Doses (Nitrox@SpiritZone) while its mid-range hypnosis brings you into a small gnosis

Better? Hm...
Of course it's very good minimal psy-tech album.
But I think Max & Mauri just cleared HD from
old and unreleased materials.
We waiting masterpieces.
Bom!
