Ethernet + music ? ?

I was wondering if _anyone_ knows whether you can get any benefits having your audio computers networked ? I know that you could "theoretically" do very cool stuff with a 100mbps connection: for example, you could sync midi with much greater accuracy than thru an 8 bit midi cable, you could even send audio from one computer to another for processing (saving cpu power on the original comp).. I figure that to really capitalize on ethernet tech, that the software companies (emagic/steinberg) would have to incorporate such support in their softs.. BUt I was just wondering if anyone knows something about it that i don't. ;) |

I know that Impulse Tracker (latest patch) supports networked track editing ;). |

Talking about Impulse Tracker!?
When the version 3 come published??
does anyone have idea?
I started with that but i dont use it
anymore cos i got Roland JX-305
but i'm interested of this new version.

You can never know when no. 3 will hit ya! I'm a believer! heh..
Btw, I heard they're making Doom3, new Wolfenstein and a new version of Duke Nukem...
