Hi all,

this track here is supposed to be the opener to my my fictitious album that I am composing and arranging in my head, hehehe...and its the first track where I played entire parts live on the midi keyboard while twisting knobs and recording it to Audio, before I did everything by pushing the mouse around...

Anyways, tell me what you think, especially regarding that its an opener, do you like the intro? (and I know the vocal is cheesy as hell, hahaha)

man I think this will work well as an intro, I think you need a sample or two to give a bit of movement and event though. something audible, that says something, language not important. if you are working on an album that has a concept find some that fit it.

As far as the vocals, I dont think they are too bad, I ahve def heard WAY worse. There might be too much vocal, you could just take some out. but the reverb helps em out. or try some bit crusher on the vocals at times.

I think the bas fits this quite well, it could maybe be a tiny bit louder.

Lastly, if this were the intro to somethign i was making I would make it half as long... i dont think it has enough variation/total idea content to be 7 minutes long. you can probably get the point across in 3 or 4 minutes and keep the listeneners interest more primed for the killer stuff to come           --

sick shit i would say. like it!

i agree with equilizime: bass a tad bit louder and maybe add some sub at 50hz to it to make the wobble shake your booty more.

i am ok with the length as i like long floating tracks, you might add however a small motive that contributes a bit to a story but imo there are subtle progressions already there to make it evolve. but there is some room left for a bit more.

i find the extremely wide spaced snare a bit irritating after a while, some material left in the center would ground that thing a bit imho.

very nice pad and reverb work as always and good as starter for you ketamine drenched dungeon and dragon adventure you call "a fictive album"

seriously after listening to your upcoming longplayer i would not give you my baby daughter for babysitting anymore           http://www.ektoplazm.com/free-music/stereofeld-frequenzwechsel

cool stuff.

agree with the gentlemen above, though. i think you can end it right there at 4:20 (weeee). or maybe take some variations you did after that and make the middle section a little longer.

also agree about the stereo snare (2 samples panned hard?). i think if you throw another snare dead in the center, it'll definitely make things better.

more subs. seems like you should have plenty of headroom to add them.

and definitely no babysitting for you. hell, i probably wouldn't trust you with my gold fish, if i went on vacation.           https://soundcloud.com/dead-end-dance

Hi guys, thanks for the very helpful feedback! I uploaded a new version under the link above in the original post, I fixed most of the things you menmtioned, the snare is in the middle now, the bass louder, and I introduced a new "motive" in the middle break to help you over the boredom of the 7 minutes

And klippel and shellbound, you can give me your babies, Satan always needs new babies for his army, muahahahahaha           Check out my album: http://www.ektoplazm.com/free-music/gay-satanic-hippie-tiefenrausch

Klip

killer tune, dude, love it a lot!

to my ear, the out of sync snare that you played at around 2:30 is not really out of sync in a cool way, it is just played bad try finding the best part out of it and loop it. it should bring groove and motion, not just play randomly.

other than that it is sick as always. hopefully u'll come out with an album finally

Thanks Makus!

Which snare do you mean, the one off-sync snare comes in at 2:10, but that`s looped already, that`s not playing randomly. And at 2:30 there is no snare...

About that album, I have 8 tracks now, and I arranged them in a logical fashion that would make sense as a flow and journey. But I wanna get to 11 or 12 good tracks, so I am right now consciously producing to fill the gaps in that arrangement. Lets see how the rest turn out, but even if no one wants that album, I am still having a blast producing it, it makes producing much more targeted than just doing random tracks           Check out my album: http://www.ektoplazm.com/free-music/gay-satanic-hippie-tiefenrausch
