I was wondering which tools you use in almost every song and little thing you do, say the ESSENTIAL TOOLS. DAW,synths,fx,....

eq on each channel (no matter which, the more bands the better for me)
I found out that this is the only one tool which I'd call really essential. But of course dynamics are on each subgroup and occasionaly on single channels.
And I have in each track a few sends ,at least one with reverb and one with delay.

I tend to leave analysers away and listen to my ears, but a short time ago I was very focused on analysers .
Now I work mostly in logic and use the logic stuff .
Compressors I like is from URS and Sonnox but I like Sonnox way more. But the logic compressor does nicely the work.
I like transparent not that much colouring stuff.Or many diferent compressors with minimal settings in one chain, some transparent some dirty in balanced proportion

fuck yeah! my master channel always has a lopass filter (usually bypassed, to check low end), then an EQ (just for analysis) and finally the exoscope. Love that thing. Nearly essential in teaching me how to make a proper bassline.           Dance, even if you have nowhere to do it but your living room. ~Kurt Vonnegut

DAW - FL + Cubase

Synths - sylenth1 , Discovery , Vanguard , Ezdrummer , Albino
good EQ i like FL eq2 mostly since its also analizer and also have many options.. or disco 30band stereo eq this one can really open a sound
good compressor - i like sonalksis and urs for that..
some delays and reverbs for sure
normal effect kit/multi with phaser flanger distortion etc
good monitors to hear what you do
great imagination and inspiration

EQ on every channel (FabFilter ProQ)
Spectrum Analyzer (Voxengo SPAN or the Ableton one)
delay, reverb and compressor (Abletons native stuff)
And of course at least one or two Synths and a Sampler.

I guess sthat would be the most basic tools I need every time. Ofc there are plenty of other effects I use often, but those vary.... I guess flanger, phaser and stereo widener are the most common ones I use.
