Dont be sorry.

Still theres no specific answer to that question really. How you would eq it, first of all depends on the sound the ESM is making plus it depends on how you want it to sounds in you mix and how you mix actually sounds.
So theres is no answer.

All i can say is that in many cases i dont feel the need to do anything with the sound of the ESM! Thats why its so popular - the sound it makes is so close to what most people want. Maybe a tiny tiny bit of eq can make it fit better into a mix but thats it. I dont feel the need to compress it either. Its got velocity so i can control the dynamics with that.

usually it takes around 2mins to do a bass with esm

no matter what kind of bass u re after.

its about taste and what sound u want to have, but I put some effects on it as well...like AvS said, a tiny bit of eq, some multiband distortion and maybe some TINY bass enhancing with newb thats it

but like I said, its all about the bass sound you want, you can get really nice bass sounds without anything on esm           https://soundcloud.com/hazak

ok, i tell you my secret

logic compressor - clip set to soft, sidechained to kick, > psp vintage warmer, light tape distortion > eq saddled for the kick, and rolled off at 50hz

fat warm bass! use your ears on the settings and adjust to taste..           Gamma Riders EP out now on iTunes and Amazon.com!
