Es1 Clicks

I've spend last night tweaking Logic 7's ES1 and found out that when it is setted to 0% Analogic, pure Saw wave gets really stable and fat (i used like 20% of the synths built in Drive for meat, same way i do with ESM).

Problem is, @ 0% analogic, it clicks in every note. :/
@ 1% analogic, it stops clickng but gets unstable..

Even when i roll down the slider from the Osc1 to the Suboscilator (turned off) the lickle click remains.
I've been using 1/32 notes, LP 24 filter, ADSR only with enuff Decay for the note to sound (Atack kills the click, but also the sound)... I also use the Filter envelope Decay (90-120ms) and amount for crunch, wich kinda masks the click.

Well, all i want to know is, this click is common or part of the signature sound of ES1?
Is this EQable?
Am i an idiot?

yes it s common if the attack is set too fast or the release too slow,if i remember well you can set it to gate in the top right corner but sometimes the attack is not enought fast this way, what you can do is sample the es 1 init patch with the cut off full open and fastest attack and then use the exs24 to make the patch, this way the click disaper with the exs24 filter and you get very fast attack(but the sound become a bit less natural and expressive)

Well, one of the main reasons i was considering using the Es1 was because it is perfectly stable and wouldn't need to be sampled... I own Logic Express 7, so no possibility to build my sample patches, its ESXP24 (sux).

Domestic also said @ that topic about his basslines that one of the best things about es1 is that once it is properly tweaked you can use its sound almost the way it is (no EQ even).
And really, apart from the click, ES1 sound is fat and very nice sounding.
guess i missed something...

Was ckecking those es1 samples posted here lately (i guess by Subcionscious mind) and the click is there too, hehehe.

wee, thanks anyway for di feedback

man just slower the attack and the click is gone or click on gateR this way you can make nice glide with 1 voice

Yes just tweak the attack and release and set the amp to the right mode.
Its a pretty comon thing with synths. My SH101 also clicks at fast attack and release settings.

Is ES1 monophonic? If so it could be the Filter envelope causing the click. If the envelope (and thus the filter) is still high from the previous note when the new note starts, the filter has to jump from it's high frequency point ot the low frequency point in one instant causing the click. Try making the envelope decay shorter and see if that helps.
