Did your sequencer crash or something when you saved it last time or alerted you with any error messages before you saved? This is what usually seem to happen if so...            Aural transmissions from the deep forests of Sweden

yeap...thats why I always do ctrls+alt+s to have backup copies...this problem hapens quite often if the cubase closes anormally while saving the file like schobbah said.

Not sure if theres a way to recover it...

In the future just remember to do ctrl+alt+save instead of just saving, to have backup copies....

Brain.... Join the Club of people who lost tracks!!!

Try to use more audio tracks of your stuff (already with fx and stuff and just render to audio) so that you use less resources from cubase.
With trial errors you always learn new things.... i have lost loads of tracks, but its good cause you always learn something new and progress with the mistakes done           Visit me

if the source for the problem is a vst then you could try the following (once i saved an almost lost track with this simple method):

rename the cubase vst folder (like "XXXvstplugins") or so, cubase will start without loading any vst-plugin then.

start cubase and load your file.

if it opens, don't save it and close cubase

try to find the bad plugin by letting cubase load one more plugin each time (you can work with zipped files/ folders, cubase won't recognize them).

much luck,

if your pc crashed while saving, the saved filed should be named "name of your project-01".
at least thats whats happening to me when at this situation!
painful huh??

good luck!

I solved it, it had to do with track freeze.I remeber that i froze sometarcks, one of them once caused a little problem but still i continued; so what i did is that i erased from the proyect folder the freezed tracks and it loaded perfectly, now i´m bouncing to audio all midi tracks.

Thanks angain to all

Same with me ..

I tryd open it then on Nuendo and my 2.2 (Cubase)
and what that happend is that 3 vsts are fade away
and gone , Then i had to work again to band & glue
all track together .

You write in here 'Error display in cubase Sx3' And i
say .. All this program (Th3) is honestly a big error .
