hi there folks, when i try to convert with CDex, or any other program, a wav file into mp3 or vice versa it just creates an file with no sound with the duration of the track ...

when i 1st opened CDex after installing it appeared a warning:
"Failed to load the wnaspi32.dll driver!
Use the Native NT SCSI driver option instead?"

it doesnt matter if i chose yes or no .. i tried both ways and both happen the same ..

if someone could help me it would be apreciated

0v3rd0s3d,
could you give me more specific details?
like what is the hardware you running, OS, connections, CD/DVD rom, drivers - everything and anything that is related to this issue?

meantime you could try and update/upgrade ASPI drivers for your cd/dvd rom. Try one from adaptec.          www.venomous2.com

I had the same problem you don't need to format your computer though..Just un-install and install soundforge again and it will work again..
