Was wondering which plug-ins are usefull to erase any annoying background noises found in samples (for example voices coming from a movie). So far I know of x-crackle, x-hum, x-noise and 1 other one from the waves bundle, but not always do they remove completely what has to be removed. I know in many cases it's impossible to get rid of all disturbing noises, but now for example I'm working on a sample that I got pretty clean now, but very much in the background there's this incredibly high peep, you can hardly hear it, but if anybody has a suggestion, would be awsom!

When using this plug ins you mentioned for removing noise and no success - then it is the source itself and you can't rescue it,they are most powerful tools for this task -espescialy x-noise and z-noise for overall cleaning.
Maybe removing the disturbing area(high peep) with an eq additionaly.           https://soundcloud.com/shivagarden

x-noise defintly should do it
(in little cost of damage the sample quality little bit too.. but it still better then dirty imo)

you must use the 'learn' option there

a) loop the background noise
b) play it and hit the 'learn' option in x-noise (few seconds and turn it off)
c) now the x-noise learned your noise and is ready to remove it
d) play with tresh and reduction value until the noise is gone
e) disable the loop and play the entire file
f) clean ?

find the high peep´s most crucial Freq area and remove it with a notch, i always like adobe auditions FFT filter for this..., you can make very narrow notches...
Hopefully the peep is not in the crucial area of the wanted sound.

otherwise do you best and live with it, mask it with some flanger... or something else

I was using SoundSoap Pro. cuz i dont like the ones in waves. And it really did the job. for some noises that waves could no get rid off.But I think looking for the frequency in the eq, is the best way to go some times..
but Im sure you all ready know this XD.
