Eraser vs Yöjalka released their magnificent debut album, Round 1 (ExoCD 16), almost exactly one year ago. Now it’s time for the second one and this one will certainly blow your socks off even further than the first one. Where the duo’s first album was quite dark in it’s sounds the second one, Tarinat, is more uplifting. Happy and hilarious would be the right words to describe the new tracks. The gabber trance period has switched to happier times and the psy is definitely still there, even stronger than before.

cant give too much of a review cuz this album defies words and has left me completely speechless!!!~
if you are looking for quality, non-formulaic, innovative, original and boundary pushing psychedelic music, look no further!
this album has it all - massive chunky funky basslines (im talking REAL funk here ppl) quirky percussion - intricate rhythms, ripping leads, slap bass, random jazz elements, ping pong, barking dogs!!! woo-hoo!!!!!!!!!
for the trancey-pants out there, this is not your typical Finnish fodder, its highly intelligent psychedelic dance music, yet still retaining the finnish 'fun' factor.
i recommend everyone suspend their disbelief momentarily and explore this description of non-reality

Heard some tracks at a friend's place and these guys sure have some high-energy breakbeat skills. Very good music to dance to. Much better than Round One - but still, not for everyone.

Receiving an Exogenic release is always an absolute treat, right from the cover and throughout the listening experience the word special, classy and different always comes to mind.
This is the second release from the crazy, humorous, twirly, psycho architects Eraser Vs Yojalka.
This release compared with their excellent weird and obscene debut, released last year, has a stronger backbone to it and has a more focused psytrance look to it, which serve as the lead, in this totally fussed out scenery which can best be described as one gigantic circus looking bowl of salad.
The Sound is hectic, twisted, confusing, totally crowded, ever changing & complex.
Many influences are brewed, maneuvered and sucked in, one can find jazzy elements, tribadelic experiences, classical notions, which comply well with the artists background, etc...
Tarinat is the outcome of two highly educated, skillful and psychedelic creatures

this is what i call psychedelic....if you are bored with full-on and want to hear some real funky and psychedelic tunes then this is the album for you.

ooooh this is the new sound!!!
i think only E vs J and Kiwa have this-
pumping trance with breaks on top and then like someone playing a funky bass guitar too. yes i think this is a new direction in psytrance...driving but funky.
best track #7-spank...its that pumpin bass guitar riff!!!
also like track #3-random sector...the squawking jazz saxaphone melody is brilliant.
one of my favorites already

This Entire album is my absolute favorit... maybe toped by Shiwa 2000....
But i love love love this crazy funky stuff. nice high frequency sounds, really taking me somewhere else (somwhere nice)...
Super psychedelic...
LOVE IT (and thats an order..)

Thank you all for your reviews and amazing adjectives! Your feedback is very satisfying and gives us more motivation to continue our seeking on the best pieces of this whole puzzle! We`ve been writing some new tunes last spring and summer and now we are taking a check what we are going/trying to do with them. Bom, Juliusz. |

One of my all time favourite psychedelic album. This just rocked and rocks my world. Thank you E and Y for two such masterpieces, hope to see you live sometime and it would be great to hear some new tunes from ya guys.

Excellent release.
Took me 2-3 listenings to understand it, and as all of the Exogenic releases, my c.d player doens't know any other labels.
As mentionned here before, highly intelligent music.
Hoping to hear them in Israel soon...

ERASER vs YÖJALKA is one of the best psy projects for ever!
they know how to put the psychedelia in diferent frequencies together with the funk drums that roll over all tracks
i really hope that more ppl listen this! if u are reading it now and not listen yet, try to listen now and will forget all boring fullon  |
