New track approaching completion this week. Have a listen! I would appreciate and constructive comments, especially surrounding the strengths and weaknesses of the mix overall and the tone of the bass. Enjoy!

Nice atmoshperics in beginning! They bring a crystal or ice castle to my imagination. Digging that nice lurking and evolving arpeggio synth and the lfo fx sounds nicely detailed. The space is filled about whole track nicely and digging the clear mixdown. I can't think of anything to complain about in it atm. I put follow too..

i've listened to the improved version. this is a nice fairy tale track!
kick lacks sub bass a lot. and generally kick and bass aren't working together very well, also they are too weak compared to other sounds. seems that u lined hats and other perc sounds to kick and bass, as they are pretty thin too.
several small breaks in the second part, especially towards the end (maybe even without adding extra bars) - will not ruin the flow, but make it less monotonous (and it is monotonous now, despite that you have lots of stuff changing). give listener some rest of constantly playing bass and kick. and u have a beautiful ending - why not make a break with it instead? i think the track would benefit from it, especially if u do it towards the last climax point.
i may be wrong but to my ear the panned lead that starts at around 5:10 is a bit loud. after your mastering compression it makes other sounds go lower when it plays.
other than that it is a good track already. would go nice in the forests www.overdreamstudio.com

Yeah! i agree! Zelda gone psychedelic!!!
Awezome and trippy! Stay this way!.. Some people would say to work on perc harder bass and clap and so on... but these minimal drums suits this genre perfectly!

Thanks Everyone!!!
Makus, Good to know about the kick and the bass, and good call on the break! I will implement that later this week.
As for now, here is another version, I upped the new york compression on the kick, bass and snare. I also changed the ADSR on the bass envelope a bit.
If you have a minute will you give it a listen and tell me if the kick and bass are sounding better? More sub on the kick there should be, as well as a more ballsy bass.

Digging the intro and how it goes off into psychedelic fairy tale land...
Really liking the clarity of the mix too.
The third mix sounds better in the sub portion in my Sennheiser headphones, except the kick is getting a little drowned out now. It could really use some sort of breakdown, maybe around 5:14 and let that vocaly pad go through some stereo delay or something.

Great intro, good atmosphere, very good story, dreamy melodies... I like the clear sounds and mix.
I agree that a break around 5:14 could be nice, or giving something more (lead, melody) from there till the end.
Great work!

Alright, worked on it a fair amount over Christmas break and have the final version, with a break added, some new melodies, mixed and mastered on some monitors!! Hooray!
