As far as I know hi hats, kicks and bongos need different equing. So what do you do with loops that have everything? You just leave them as they are? Do you think they are unusable? Like for example the spectrasonics type of loops.

just fix the frequencies need to be fixed, for example if you planing use a trance kind base drum, try to cut the low frequencies in the loop to fit the external base drum, fix small changes in some frequencies like mid-high and just play man,

and i suggest you also creating your own loops or at least mix both of the options,

split the loop to different parts aka make clones
so
Beatloop1
Beatloop2
Beatloop3
Beatloop4
and start equing very carefuly each one
it's the same loop but if you eq it right you can get 4 loops with different sound
though it is a very hard work
