So i have this sample that im trying to fit in to my song and i want it so really stick out in the song so listeners hear it....here it is
i was wondering what effects u usually put on a sample like this to make it awesome.....like delay or phaser......and the eq the high or lows.......thanks........btw the sample is from No Country for Old Men

i dont think you can do a whole lot with this one. the voice is really deep.. try double tracking with some effects like doppler, delays and widen it a bit..
also i would get rid of some of the low frequencies.

Check whta the main freq of the voice is. Then cut that out of the other sounds. So the voice really has that part of the spectrum for itself. Maybe boost some of the freqs of the voice that make it easier to understand what is being said.. Because now i have no idea.
When the voice is finished you can take out the eq cut on the other sounds.

supergroover, how i do what you said exactly.......im not so good with frequencies,basically i should look at it in a spectrum analyzer and then what?

cut with eq2 if u use fl there is a preset fot cutting lows... raise the cutting point untill it sounds good and not too much of a man speakin from can and git rid of the low sub freqs...
i have an idea that u could lowpass filter all the other things and than just turn em up by the end...

EQ is THE main tool, get into it! for any sound.
for analyzer i suggest free "voxengo span".
