Whenever i EQ my bassline to make it fit with the kick or to remove some 'muddyness' it gets a kind of 'nasal' sound. Is there a way around this ? |

I mean that you get a sound like when you talk with your nose squeezed tight
Mostly i use the EqSat that came with the Powercore Card, or Waves' eq's. |

not sure I follow the nose-idea
although it's hard to describe a sound in words - I would suggest using delicant changes with EQ and/or adding up on the lower and even higher mids too.
This way you still open a path for those certain kick freqs and maintain bassline full pressense.
A notch filter usually makes the nasal sound - did you mean like that?

No one really nose... But i think you just gave me the saving hint: i usually use a narrow Q when i make frequency cuts. Probably the narrow Q combined with too deep a cut will act as a notch-filter (it IS a notchfilter). |

try making a high-q eq reduction at around 120-180hz, find the correct freq, it might help.
