Simian - The Mark
This is a fresh talent from Portugal and this one begins with a spooky ambient sample with some prayers being said and there a cymbal sweeps in and phat rolling bassline and crunchy kick begins and this is some thing cutting edge like Kindzadza & Fungus FUnk old sounds amalgamated , killer acid synth rhythms start building up and straight at 2.20 a silence of just one bars and the tracks bursts out more stronger accompanied by a brain-slicer of synthwork and the track is really made to set a mark on our minds, really deserves this named The Mark. Some highly innovative and cutting-edge twisted psytrance heard, the massacre suddenly takes a break at 4:50 and more spooky soundscapes start flowing and some neat percussion elements thrown in which continues till 5:33 and again come in the wicked leads and more spooky textures of synths which continues till the end.
Simian - We are the enemies
We are Enemies hits with a more phatter rolling bassine heard from this artist,eerie textures keep flowing in the ambience, good percussions, some absolute dark atmosphere built on this one, and 1:16 the track picks up with acid synth mesh layering one over the other taking it more twisted journey, 2:10 onward some powerful industrial ambient soundscapes flowing in making it more shriller of a track , this is some kinda chaotic night-time bangers, the climax-progression keeps you wondering , Highly Unber synth-programming skills this guy has twist twirls, spiral warps , 5:31 the track begins getting more agressive as its facing the apocalypse till 6:23 and then the track coming on a low pitch with the voice samples, saying "it is out of the we are the enemies and ends with a nasty synth fade-out
Once again both of the tracks on this EP are my fav's.

This EP is the absolute BOMB.........simian.....i say this from the bottom of my heart,.....This is the first well structured HARD CORE night killer i have heard in all of 2007 and till some one or something(??) outdoes this Ep , these 2 tracks r my FAV night tracks of 07.....a total slaughter......unlike standard nigth tracks urs got not just a nice rolling bassline but some good percussions ,fx etc etc........only crib would be that the samples rnt playin a big enuff part in the track.........on the flipside u got a track Shas-oh on hybrid reaction which i honestly say was a very weak average track....just my 2 cents tho.....continue in the exact style of this EP and brother u r gonna take people on super psychedelic mind slaughtering trips!!!
would def love to hear more from u.....i thank GOD that there r still beacons of dark out there...forget mexico ,serbia n russia....Portugals is where the new dark arises !!(i do like LAB's stuff also)

dude ur most welcome ...bcoz ive totally meant wat i said.....i REALLY wish more people can lissen to ur music....its good to see u comin with just 3 tracks so far...out of which 2 on dis EP r bangers...d same way keep comin out with quality...nd not in quantity like so many darkpsy artists nowadays....again i dint like shas-oh but hey ders always scope to get better...........keep it up

Hello !! Thanks alot for the support. I am really glad you like the EP tracks.
Well, i think the Shas-oh track follows the same concept and i like the track but it's not possible to please everyone when you make one music,  but if you like those ones in the EP the new ones coming are more into that style, stay tuned

i haven't heard this ep but for what i've heard of simian it must be great tracks! one of the best portuguese projects for sure
