Review:

Audiopathik are two guys from the Sonoran desert, Mexico, who say they bring some psychedelic stuff to all those who enjoy travelling into the shadows of the darkness.

So lets take a trip into the shadows of the darkness with them with some San Pedro !!

01. Audiopathik - Sell Your Soul

The track starts with an explosion and then some slight technoish riffs which breaks through punchy full-on rolling bassline and tight-sounding kick, techno riffs and stuttering breaks, more layers get added like sounds in some metal factory. Around 2.00 a voice sample begins saying "I sold my soul to death ......2.28 the anger begins with melodic leads dropping and some crazy synth sounds, same sets of layers played around with and the voice sample keeps repeating... more synth sounds added 5.03 some distant nuke explosion sound and back again to the technoish riffs and the bassline rolling all the way till the end. Production-wise these guys are pretty neat in what they do as I have heard them on some of their other releases. This seemed to be a very much mass-production kinda track so lets see what's in store in the journey ahead with these guys.

02. Audiopathik - Mauvaise

The full-on bassline starts fading in, with some scream accompanied by some squeaky synth sounds, and soundscapes starts flowing through madly accompanied with some excellent percussion work, Chaotic Synth
leads start coming in random directions, good layering I'd say, the atmosphere keeps building up with synths sounds comin in madly from all directions and from 2:36 gets more crunchier, tracks starts sounding more bad ass like it's gonna rip your ear drums apart any moment, good synth programming here and smartly layered to get your feets stomp harder 4:31 the sound fades out and then again picks up for an outburst at 4:52 more chaotic synth sounds added to get that extra Oomph... percussion keeps getting sharper, one hell of a stomper which would never put the trancer to rest not a single moment of boredom or distraction on this one 7:00 on the bassline get more volatile making the dancer jump like mad all the way till the end, all in all my favorite track from this ep.. One loko track by these loko artists.

03. Audiopathik - UnaDelMal

Start with synth works and then the phat bassline starts pumping-in gradually with subtle pans and the track sets rolling from one with some usual metal factory sounding percussions in the ambience , more percussion work starts around 1:25 and then the dark atmosphere starts seeping in with some wicked synth sounds thrown in smartly, some impressive synth-work on this one, and then a female sample which goes "Is there anything I can help you with"... and the track keeps galloping, the voice sample keeps comin but in background, the synthwork keeps getting wicked, swirls n twirls with every soundframe more dark ambient sound-scapes keep pouring, cranking all the way Around 4:30 voice sample repeats, and then
some newer percussive elements are heard, good playing around with synths overall wicked track to start a set with also builds up the night time atmosphere well.

My Favorite tracks 02, 03

Peace
