To promote new compilation ANCIENT FUTURE, dj Zorflux (Horizon live act)from Enzyme Records, new sub label of Phantasm will be touring Japan together with dj EL 5 (Drap Drop live act)Enzyme Records Japan. The tour kicks off in Osaka on 28th Feb, leading to Kobe on 5th March, Hiroshima 6 March, Kyoto 12 March, Skikoka the 13th of March and ending with a blast in Tokyo on the 19th of March 2004 produced by Omnitribe (EL 5 Enzyme Promotion)
ENZYME RECORDS HISTORY...
Begining...
enzyme promotions stated at the time of the new melenium bringing a burst of energy with live new cells filtering into the brighton psycedelic trance scene. regular club nights held with resident and local djs brought a brillant response from the cosmopolitan and worldwide travellere crowds based in brighton. a connection with the party possible family (brightons premiere outdoor trance crew) brought an increasing quality to enzyme promotions. djs and artists such as Joti Sidhu (atomic/spun rec), Dino Psaras (atomic/visionquest rec), John Phantasm and Junya(phantasm/enzyme rec) Mark Allan - Quirk(atomic/phonokol rec), Mick Chaos(chaos unlimited), Vinny(party possible), Jamie Robinson(ajuca productions), Zorflux(enzyme records).
new developments...
in september of 2002 enzyme promotions joined forces with shantiluna (a fresh trance promotions new to brighton with southern hemispheres connections) Enzyme in association with shantiluna began a residency at the ocean rooms holding regular events on the first thursday of each month with bigger events held at the concorde2 on special occasions. artists such as Wrecked Machines, Dick Trevor, Eskimo, Jumanji, Sesto Sento, Fatali, Shift, Green Oms, Prodigal Sun, Dimitri Nakov, Storm, Horizon, and djs such as Bishop, Aston Acid, Matt Boom, Shane Gobi, Young, Marchello, Kristian and Mr Raz have all graced the enzyme/shantiluna stage in the last year.
the visual arts...
brightons very own ianindub has provided the foundation of enzyme artwork with grahic design, backdrops, 3d decor, projections and lighting. while the excellant portsmounth decor crew Zuvuya 59 have added a new dimension to our psycedelic environments for the bigger events. of course we cant forget tree the otherworld vj who has brought stunning video jams to our eyes over the last year along with the talented evp.
enzyme records...
towards the end of 2002 enzyme promotions began to look towards establishing itself as a record label. working directly with john phantasm in promoting, a&r, and producing music under the name horizon (eskimo and zorflux) the time was right to establish a new fresh sublabel of phantasm records.
the label was concieved to bring new music into the scene along with regular productions from the phantasm/enzyme family.
names such as mindfield, eskimo, dickster, jumanji and horizon. the new compolation album ancient future out now looks set to firmly establish enzyme records as an up and coming label with its storming tracks and fresh new talent. featuring horizon(4tracks), jumanji, mindfield&cosmosis, dynamic, bizarre contact, and triptych.
future outlook...
we continue to develop party promotions in our resident brighton clubs on a monthly basis with special events planned outdoors for the summer. on the international scene we have album promotions in Japan, Brazil, Cyprus, Italy, Portugal, Serbia and New Zealand.
