I love Entropy's leads. Can anyone tell me what synth they might be using?
Thanks |

aldus: break down the sound... start by listening for the osc's, how many oscs, which kinds of osc, is the pitch/pulsewidth being modulated or not, are the osc's synced or not, how have they been detuned. Then find out if the filter is bandpass/highpass/notch/lowpass (test it if u can't hear it) and if the resonance is turned up. Then listen to the envelopes/lfo's, is the same envelope/lfo modulating cutoff/amplitude/pitch, are they modulated by different lfo's/envelopes, how many envelopes/lfo's do u need, is amplitude being modulated or gated?
after a while u'll get very close to the sound.... To get it exactly u'll need the same synth, but that shouldn't be necessary if u have a good sounding synth with the right parts to build the sound...
i know this is probably not what u wanted to hear, but it's how i try to copy any sound i like... And after a while u start getting good at it... Just like listening for a melody... |

Thanks Fregle. Yeah, that's seems difficult right now, but I'm sure I'll get better at it.
Peace |
