hey all. I have Entheogenics Spontaneous Illumination and I see it as one of the best albums ever. I would like to ask your views on the previous entheogenic self titled album. Is it as good as spontaneous illumination. thx for any comments.           `Bottomless wonders spring from simple rules, which are repeated without end` Mandelbrot

Entheogenics first album was self titled. 3d Vision 'Relax', is just chilled albums on that label.

I think their first album was much better, only because their second release seemed like it was all about how many indian vocals and other samples ripped straight from cd can I fit in this track. They should calm down on that a little bit. They also gotta stop using that Spin audio 3d chorus vst fx on all their tracks. Its old now guys, find some new FX!

The first one is more relaxing, lot's of beautiful melodies and a very deep peaceful vibe all over.

The second one is more twisted, more of a psychedelic vibe then the first one.

Both are excellent.

Entheogenic's tracks are cookie-cutter ambient trance, they are decent, but all sound about the same. They sound fine mixed together with other artists, but I can't stand to listen to Spontaneous Illumination from start to finish. More variation please!! And, as dnetv2 pointed out, they use the same sample cd's as every other chillout artist does. I'm getting really sick and tired of hearing the same ethnic vocal samples in so many tracks.

Yes, I agree Spontaneous Illumination is one of the best albums ever.

If you liked SI, you will sure like their first album too.

There is undeniably something about this album. It does affect everybody. You either love it or hate it.
It his an affect on the human psych in one way or the other, depending on how you perceive and understand it.

thx to everyone who contributed.
also on the issue that came up, I am with karmasy.
and yes, they also sound to me being influenced, but not "too" much. entheogenic and shpongle give different tastes to me which makes me love them for what they are on their own.           `Bottomless wonders spring from simple rules, which are repeated without end` Mandelbrot

No.

All I am saying is that this album provokes a strong emotional responds in many people. What ever the responds is. You might love it or not...

For me this is a sign of a great piece of work.

I love it.

It’s a serious album, nothing cheesy about it, unlike some others. It takes some time to get into it, a really complex and deep one.
