i got hold of the new(ish) Brain Bubbles album yesterday, deep thoughts
and the engineering on there is really screwed up!!!the recording quality for the large part is fine, and most of the enginnering is ok(tho at one point im sure i heard something that amounted to distortion, but i think that was on an individual sample rather than the track)

but there is a constant background hum on all the tracks, which is very VERy noticeable over headphones on some of the less complicated sections of the album

and also, there are a couple of points where the track 'jumps' slightly, you hear a clicking sound, not like distortion, but like everythings been played back live from sequencer, and the sequencer cant quite handle totally perfect playback, its being pushe too far so there are on or two little jumps

anyone else noticed this? anyone else th8ink this is a bit off for a professional release? im not saying anything about the quality of the music on the album, but something somewhere has gone noticeably wrong, either at production or engineering stage, i dunno where... and this aint brain bubbles first alb um either

that said, the engineering and mixdown is supposed to have been done byuu lior of astral

what the hells goin on?!?!?!

the humming sounds like electrical hum off a mixer, or sounds sytsem, something thats been introduced by wires...
ive now noticed that play it over speakers, and start to turn the volume up to a reasonable level, and the buzz becomes very noticeable over loud speakers..
ive also got auditorium/beautiful off the album on a vinyl, but i never noticed problems on that

but the little clicks.jumpos as well?
thats gotta have happened at the recording stage, not mastering
