Almost every instrumentalist I know who's been playing for more than 8 years has been endorsed by some manufacturer or the other, lots of commercial DJs as well.

Wondering if synth and software companies have ever endorsed anyone in the psytrance scene?

doubt it , just by visting kvr gearslutz, psy is not popular at all these days , and psy producers dont really spend much money on software if you see what i mean.. i don t see much point in endorsing psy producers for a soft company

some years ago i contacted roland scandinavia via e-mail presenting myself (incl. discography) and asked them to endorse me by giving me a discount or f.e. loaning me a synth. they weren't impressed but politely promised to sell me a demo synth cheaper. i'd have probably gotten the same price after a little bargaining session anyways

Never seen it although Boris Electric Universe always used to put a big thanks to Roland in his cd coverse. Dunno if the actually did anything for him in return.

It's kind of sad because yeah even the most underground metal bands for example always seemed to be endorsed by a guitar or drum company.

I always wished artists would give me detail about gear used but now most used software so there's no point as it's al the same & sounds generic.

I'm working on my web site which will list all the eurorack modules I get over time. My current 9u + skiff won't be a huge list but I just bought a custom 12u as well so the list will soon grow.

I know Tom Cosm is affiliated with ableton. He is an official ableton teacher. And he does that really well (not the druggy wasted, give me another beer type)!           soundcloud.com/supergroover

True, glitch hop scene seems to be getting a lot of support from Ableton. Tom Cosm, Mr. Bill, Ill.Gates come to mind.

Have been talking with Amos Gaynes who is basically the Bob Moog of Moog Music since Bob left this world.

Had an idea of making the VCO phase re-trigger phase cycle, editable from the Minitaur's interface that he will implement in the next Minitaur firmware.
He also plays my tunes in his sets...will see if I can blag something free from him, but he is a tough cookie to crack

Tom Cosmo is great, I bought he's dvd set for $40. Best tutorials out there. Then I wasted $1K on doing classes by a teacher who was total crap.

All I learnt from those was that just because you can useAblftone it doesn't make you a teacher.           Cuntus Maximus.
