Encoded/Decoded - Tegma (Digital Structures)

#1 Refraktor
#2 Tribe of Akabar
#3 Mölleswinger
#4 Skyline
#5 Funkboom
#6 Spread Out And Skelter
#7 Sofa Beats
#8 Encoded
#9 Flashdance

Well the hihglight of my musically year... A new way of thinking, very thought thru album, from mindblowing tegma rockblockers to the more "diffrent" tracks like Flashdance... Omar and Jason invites u too a journey u wont forget. Hi-Fi fx combined with phat basslines and a hard knocking beat will get your feet moving where ever u are... What ever u feel like listening too u will find something fitting in this cd, very intelligent... U can feel the effort these two geniouses hasput into this very special package of a life time experience!
I tried Refraktor at work (15.000 watt soundsystem in a dynamicly and acoustic measured local... What an experience....

Favs. 1(!) 2 3 7 and if im in the mood for italo disco nr 9

Be good and for god sake dont miss this!

Peace!

At last a "complete" album!

progressive tracks, psytrance tracks, techno trance even a disco-styled track! although the last one isn't exactly my style i loved this album.

number 3 and 5 are my favourites!!!
1,2 & 4 (4 reminded me of the Tim Schuldt era!!) are great, too!

great work Tegma guys!! i hope you'll continue this way!!

P.S. (i didn't get the cover's idea though.. i expected something different..)           in search for an answer...

i have to say that i'm quite dissapointed by this album....
i was expecting something less clubby & more kicking ....
where is the tegma from "rockblocker", " x calibur ", "bloody mary " , "nightsession"..........
anyway , it's quite the style of the moment , clubby housy sound ... and i don't like that much this evolution of the progressive scene....

Sukanta I'm with u.
I also like the "old Tegma style".
They changed their style a year ago to more clubby/housy tunes.
Too bad, they had kicking tracks like x-calibur for example.           Majority is never right!

Actually Omar told me about this, he said that some people will be dissapointed of the album since they are all expecting tracks like X-Calibur, Rockblocker etc etc...Its still a good album imo...

i don't know which is clubby or not..
when x-calibur was released some said that THAT was clubby....

whoever tried to write music a lot, understands where the artist has done a lot of good work... and the tracks of this album show a lot of proffesional work by these guys..

x-calibur compared with some of these tracks is like comparing 1+1 with a complex equation...
of course x-calibur has "that special thing" that makes it so kicking...
but music is not just boom boom boom under a good bassline...

i wish more people could see it this way..           in search for an answer...

My friends, I hope u understand that since we are making "progressive" music this means we cant produce the same type of tracks all the time. Our idea with this album was to make it as varied and creative as possible. We also made an effort to try to avoid from what have done before thats why some of u is not used to this new Tegma "style".
I wouldnt call all of the album clubby or housy though...(personnally something housy for me is below 130bpm)
for example in Skyline we tried to make to make a modern goa track with a melody but in our way... and in Funkboom we used the same formula as X-calibur but produced in a different way of thinking...
I hope u understand my point of view and thx for the support:-)

great album! tracks 1-5 are all killers, but 6-9 sound weak. there is a huge dropoff between the monster "funkboom" and the annoying "spread out and skelter". still, it's unusual to get that many playable tracks on one artist album, so hats off to the tegma guys.

but...do i hear son kite tinkering away in the back of some of these tracks?

;-)
