Hi ppl,
In my search for a groovebox/sampler/sequencer (check: http://forum.isratrance.com/viewtopic.php/topic/63250/forum/2 ), now I have the oportunitty to buy an used, but almost new, EMU MP7 sequencer and a EMU 6400 sampler...
For those people who already used these equipament, can you post the pros and cons about each one?
(sorry about my English) Abraços/Regards,

hardware sequencers suck donkey balls compared to software sequencers... Much more time needed to do less. That is a great sampler (better then my akai S3000XL) that can still be usefull if it's filled up on RAM (i still use my sampler, but not a lot... Only because drums sound better coming out of an akai...), but it's also one of those redundant machines in the computer age... I wouldn't buy hardware sequencers, DAW's, or samplers anymore, i just don't see why... a pc with a good audio-interface is those 3 things rolled into one and much easier to use... There are things that are still usefull in hardware, but these are the things that are the least usefull i think... |

it true fregle, in spite of begin all digital stuff, most hardware samplers sound better than software ones...
i don't think it's a must for psy, but i'll say my emu 5000 has a better sound for d'n'b than akays or software...
maybe it's the DAC or anything else in the circuitry... but its deep
